Today’s post features a couple of quick hitting actions. These plays came from the Men’s Basketball HoopScoop Duke Playbook.
The Playbook contains:
23 Set Plays
18 Quick Hitters
20 BlOBs,
2 SLOBs
1 Early Offense and
4 Zone Offense Set Plays.
Play #1

1 passes to 4.
2 back cuts to the left corner.
3 cuts to the mid-wing.
5 and 1 set staggered downscreens for 3.
3 cuts behind 4 for a handoff pass for a possible shot.
1 cuts to the left corner.
5 sets a downscreen for 2.
2 pops up to the top left guard spot.
3 can take the shot or pass to 2 for the open three point shot.
Play #2
I like the concept of setting multiple screens, including a re-screen for the best shooter.
1 dribbles to the right wing.
2 cuts to the top of the key.
1 passes to 2.
5 sets a backscreen for 1.
1 cuts low and pops back out to the right wing.
4 sets a backscreen for 3.
3 cuts to the the basket.
4 then rolls back to the left low block.
2 passes to 1 and sets a downscreen for 3.
4 sets a downscreen for 3.
1 dribbles toward the top of the key.
3 pops up to the top left guard spot.
1 passes to 3.

The play has been picked from the best of the Men’s basket ball play and team and derived with Fastdraw. The Duke dab well known as BLOB has been presented in form of diagrams, where drops of thick liquid are used to describe basketball play. The diagrams are shown in two types clearly giving the step backs, pop ups, sets and passes in the play.
