These guard-to-big and big-to-guard screens will create mismatches when defenses switch or open shots when screen defenders “show” on offensive players receiving screens.
This baseline out-of-bounds play uses a series of screening actions to create scoring opportunities against man-to-man defense.
The initial back screen and cross screen look to free a shooter while creating potential mismatches if the defense switches.
If the first shot isn’t available, the ball is reversed and the action continues with a down screen for the inbounder.
The final curl or flare gives the offense another option without having to reset.
