Getting the ball inside against a 1-2-2 zone can create scoring opportunities for more than just your post players. The Post Catch 1-2-2 Zone Attack focuses on using interior touches to put pressure on the defense and create openings around the basket and on the perimeter.
By forcing the zone to collapse and recover, the offense can create better passing angles and scoring opportunities. This is an option for coaches looking to attack the gaps in a zone rather than settling for contested outside shots.
